For instance, during multi-style YTTC we will be following Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Primary Series during both 200-hr YTTC and 300-hr YTTC. However, the focus will be different. You will be introduced to the primary series during 200-hr, whereas you will acquire deeper knowledge of each and every pose of primary series during 300-hr.
The topics and practices covered during multi-style yoga teacher training of 300 hours are –
Asana Classes
Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow: The primary series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga will be introduced to students during the first week of 300-hr Multi-style YTTC.
This includes learning the two main styles of Sun-salutation movements, Standing Asanas, Sitting Asanas, Forward Flexion, Backward Extensions and Inversions.
Our curriculum will cover the whole set of Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary series although how far you can proceed with the practice will depend upon your fitness and practice level. You will find the supporting hands of your teachers at every point of difficulty.
Hatha Vinyasa Flow: Hatha Vinyasa Flow is the most ancient practice of Yoga. Yogis observed the flow and movements of animals in the nature and tried to adopt those primitive movements for health and well being. They discovered that if you move away from your sedentary life-style and move closer to the nature and natural activities then your body will not only heal itself rather it will also create immunity towards invading diseases. Hence, they didn’t make any fixed routine for Hatha Vinyasa Yoga, rather they let it remain an open ground for creating a flow of movements with synchronized breath work.
Moreover, you will learn to create different Vinyasa Flow during 300-hr multi-style YTTC which will be based on classical Hatha Yoga Poses.
Yin-Yoga/ Restorative Yoga/ Iyengar Yoga with Yoga Props: We combine Yin-Yoga or restorative Yoga with Iyengar Yoga which is done with the help of Yoga Props developed by Mr. B.K.S Iyengar. Relaxation is the basic need for recovery from fatigue and diseases. It is found that passive relaxation is one of the most difficult practice for human mind. This part of your training helps you develop the art of active and conscious relaxation with the help of Yoga-Props.
Alignment and Hands-on Adjustments
As a potential yoga teacher, you like to develop a lasting relationship with your students. So, hands-on adjustment training would be very helpful for you. There are several reasons for learning the hands-on adjustments as a yoga teacher.
- Posture guiding– When a trainee tries to attain a posture safely, the trainer is concerned about the injury from the wrong technique. That is why hands-on adjustments will be useful for guiding a trainee into the right posture.
- Breathing technique– Learning a proper breathing technique is a part of a yoga course. As a potential yoga trainer, you need to help your students identify the right breathing points. With the hands-on adjustment, you can offer your trainee a physical touch point needed for breathing.
- Alignment correction– A student always struggles with the proper alignment. But he may be at risk of getting injured. As a yoga teacher, you will help him with hands-on adjustments.
Thus, we have included hands-on adjustment as an important subject in our 300-hour course syllabus.
Teaching Skills and Practicum
Teaching Methodology is one of the most important pedagogic part of our Yoga Teacher Training in India. This the Yoga Asana and breath workshop which has three aspects:
1. It is the space where you learn clinical performance of Yoga Asanas. That is, to find out your own mistakes during performing Asanas and correcting them with the help of your lead trainers.
2. The art of professional hands on adjustment and facilitating the growth of your own students. Learning the art of helping other Yoga students and aspirants.
3. The grace of teaching Pranayama and Meditation. Learning the art of being there and supporting your students when they go through inner turbulence caused by breath work, Yoga and Meditation practices. You will be able to help them find their inner strength, centeredness, serenity and firm grounding.
Anatomy and Physiology

Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers
Yoga philosophy is a great part of your YTTC. You will be introduced to classical texts from eastern philosophy related to the path of Yoga. Yoga Philosophy is based on the following scriptures:
Yoga Sutra of Patanjali: The first two chapters of this classical text are taught during 200-hr YTTC and the last two chapters are taught during your 300-hr YTTC. That implies that when you join our 300-hr YTTC then you must be well introduced or well versed in the first two chapters of Yoga Sutra. There are different techniques of Yoga Sadhana to develop breath awareness in a very systematic way. These techniques are called Pranayama in Yogic terminology. Here are some instances of Yogic Pranayama taught to you during your Yoga teacher training. Meditation

Mudra, Bandha, and Mantra Chanting
When you have learnt three different way to approach and work on your body and its problems then you can start working on your heart center.
According to Yoga your body is close to nature so by bringing it closer to natural movement and diet you can trigger a certain cleansing or detoxing process.
Mind is collection of conditioning, words, thought and ideas. All of the above mentioned contents are foreign intruders which are borrowed from your environment. Yoga is a process of emptying all that borrowed knowledge. Yoga provides many different tools for emptying the mind from all the unnecessary junk.
One of the methods used by yogis for dealing with the unwanted, obsessive chattering of mind is called Mantra Yoga. These Mantras as created by Yogis for countering our uncontrollable mind formations. Through the chanting of Mantras our minds become silent and makes a passage to our heart. So, we will introduce you to Mantra Sadhana with musical chanting which is double edged sword. On one hand it soothes your mind and on the other hand it opens your heart so that you can experience life, nature and existence on many different levels.
