Yoga Techniques, Training, and Practice

There are three steps to master anything—to Learn, to attain training and then, to practice. Here’s what we do for the candidates to master the Art of Ashtanga Yoga—to learn the techniques, to obtain the training and then, practicing to root perfection in what have learned. This includes:

Learning and Teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series: There are complete six Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series. At Mantra Yoga, one will start the journey of learning from the primary series of Ashtanga Vinyasa also known as “Yoga Chikitsa.” An Ashtanga Yogi must practice the primary series in order to seed the plant of training & practice in Ashtanga Yoga. First, the candidates at Mantra Yoga are made familiar to the techniques of Ashtanga Yoga primary series, after technique regular training upon the poses of Ashtanga Yoga primary series take place and at last, regular practice to finally transform the foundation built stronger and stronger day by day.

Mantras & Kriyas:

Mantras in Yoga plays an essential role in an engagement of mind towards a positive sound and energy. Kriyas are practiced for the purpose of boosting the vital capacity of the Yoga practitioner. Chanting of Mantras, attending Kirtanas and Satsang in order to divert mind towards spirituality in order to attain the spiritual advantage upon mental and emotional health. Karma Yoga is practiced for ones to become aware of the benefits of selfless Actions (the actions where no return is expected).
